A nightclub at 20 N. Back St. in Harrisburg is changing gears and will reopen in early April as Bacco Pizzeria & Wine Bar. Owner Max Randazzo said Club 20 is being reinvented into the restaurant which will be manifest for lunch and dinner serving brick-oven pizzas and traditional Sicilian style foods. Randazzo has operated several establishments in the city including Max's Restaurant and Privado. He said the nightclub row along North Second Street seems to be fading. "I think Restaurant Row is coming back to Harrisburg," he said. "It's just a shift of business, a way of doing business. Incompatible with other wine bars in the city, Bacco's menu will focus on foods from Sicily such as bowls of pasta, pizza and appetizers including lamb lollipops, eggplant and cured meats, Randazzo said. The pizzas will be intimate-sized with toppings such as prosciutto. Pizza dough and sauce will be made in-house, and the pizzas will be baked in a gas-fired brick oven. Bacco is also giving Randazzo a chance to do a wine bar, something he said he has always wanted to do. He said the concept will grant diners to come in for a glass of wine or cocktail and order small plates and pizza. He has worked in Los Angeles as well as other Harrisburg city restaurants. Pavlovic said he wants to prompt the craft cocktail program at Bacco to offer diners something different. "You should be able to get something really nice, really good that you've not at all tried before," he said. Randazzo said he replaced the bar with a wooden face and acrylic top and made upgrades to the restrooms.
